Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. The position requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate documentation and budget oversight. The Senior Technician also provides hands-on training and supports continuous improvement efforts to uphold quality and operational excellence across multiple sites.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
- Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships while ensuring adherence to budget and regulatory requirements.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols and certification standards.
- Collaborate with teams to improve processes, support compliance, and deliver results aligned with business priorities.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance and repair of equipment, fixtures, and facilities.
- Proficiency in multiple crafts such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment operation.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA compliance.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor oversight.
- Capability to train and mentor associates and lead work teams effectively.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills related to maintenance activities and budget tracking.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
