WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital is seeking a board certified/board eligible anesthesiologist to join a well-established, hospital-employed anesthesia team. This is a bread-and-butter community hospital practice located in Uniontown, PA with a strong surgical case mix and home call with in-house CRNA coverage 24/7.
Clinical Details
Practice Model
- Medical direction model, average 3:1 CRNA supervision ratio
- No solo room coverage – true care team model
- 6 operating rooms and 2 GI/endoscopy suites
- Closed ICU staffed 24/7, located directly across from the OR suite
- Established pre-anesthesia testing program
- Growing regional anesthesia program
Case Mix
- Orthopedic, general surgery, urology, GYN, GI/endoscopy, basic ENT, cataracts
- No cardiac, no craniotomy, no complex pediatric cases
- Clear transfer criteria for high-acuity cases
- Approximately 7,000 annual surgical and procedural cases across OR and endoscopy
Call
- Home call only – 1:4 to 1:5 frequency, CRNA in-house 24/7
- Anesthesiologist called in only as needed for after-hours surgical cases
Qualifications
- MD/DO or foreign equivalent; eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
- Completion of ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
- Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology
