The Opportunity
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a National Sales Manager to lead our Surgical Vision business across Australia & New Zealand. Based in Sydney and reporting to the ANZ Country Manager, this strategic leadership role will be responsible for shaping and executing commercial strategies that exceed sales targets while strengthening our reputation in the market. You will foster an inclusive, high-performing culture, develop exceptional talent and capability, build strategic customer partnerships, and contribute critical market intelligence to guide future business growth.
Responsibilities
- Leading and executing the ANZ Surgical Vision sales strategy, driving revenue growth, market share, profitability, and customer success across the portfolio
- High-performance sales team management through effective recruitment, coaching, talent development and succession planning
- Strategic customer management via mutually productive stakeholder relationships, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Collaborating across functions to enhance commercial effectiveness, leveraging market insights to optimise sales execution, product launches, pricing strategies, and business performance
- ANZ Leadership Team member, influencing business strategy, organisational capability and long-term growth while ensuring compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company values
About You
- Degree qualified with significant sales capability and leadership experience. Medical device, capital equipment and/or multi-national experience is highly regarded
- Commercially astute, with demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed teams and delivering sustained revenue, market-share and profitability growth
- Strong experience in sales strategy, forecasting, pipeline governance, strategic-account management and sales-force effectiveness. Proven capability coaching leaders, succession planning and sales performance management
- Experience engaging with senior hospital, procurement, clinical and commercial stakeholders, and a working knowledge of healthcare compliance, industry codes and quality systems
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate at all levels of the business, highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
