POSITION OVERVIEW
The Office Administrator & Customer Service Specialist in Hemingford supports the sales and processing efforts at the location by managing customer communication, scheduling, order details, inventory transactions, and other administrative needs. Approximately 25% of this role will support seed cleaning and production when office workload allows. This position helps keep both the office and operation moving efficiently while ensuring customers have the best possible experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support daily communication, scheduling, and product coordination so seed processing and customer needs stay on track.
- Process inventory receipts, transfers, and dirty-to-clean seed conversions accurately and on time.
- Serve customers with clear communication, helpful follow-up, and accurate order information.
- Enter, update, and support sales orders, walk-in orders, order tags, and related paperwork.
- Help manage the order schedule, scale ticket reconciliation, and manufacturing order creation and posting in SalesPad.
- Coordinate office needs, supplies, and facility-related support to keep the Hemingford location organized and ready for business.
- Spend approximately 25% of working time assisting with seed cleaning and production when office workload allows.
- Operate seed-cleaning equipment according to the processing schedule and quality specifications, including basic machine troubleshooting.
- Package cleaned products and assist with loading, unloading, and preparing outbound shipments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in both office and production areas.
- Work closely with other departments and teammates to solve problems, shift priorities, and support the location's daily workload.
- Take ownership of assigned work, follow through on details, and jump in where needed to help the team succeed.
