As a School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at LEARN Academy, you play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive special education services to children with special needs. You will work across school settings alongside teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to deliver high-quality support. Responsibilities include assisting in evaluating student needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress toward IEP goals.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Providing direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their functional abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the educational curriculum.
- Assisting in the adaptation of learning environments and materials to enhance student participation and independence.
- Contributing to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Maintain AZ COTA license requirements
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint card
