Full Time, permanent
Salary up to £29,488.20 per annum, plus, company van and fuel card
42.5 hours per week Monday – Friday

About the Role:
As a General Operative, you will be working on our SHDF retrofit programme within the social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. Providing front facing support and advice as required and delivering proactive communication throughout the works life cycle. Putting the customer at the heart of everything we do; ensuring we meet the needs of the business, our clients, and our customers.
Duties:
- Support site set-up and maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Remove and dispose of waste materials in line with site procedures
- Safely handle, move, and store materials and equipment
- Assist skilled tradespeople with domestic retrofit and energy efficiency improvement works
- Carry out general labouring duties, minor repairs, and maintenance tasks as required
- Work in line with all health and safety regulations, policies, and safe working practices
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to ensure project deadlines are achieved
- Report any site issues, defects, or safety concerns to the Site Supervisor promptly
- Attend team briefings and contribute ideas to support continuous improvement
- Take ownership of allocated tasks, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely, and right first time
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach when working in customers' homes
- Undertake work at height where required, following appropriate training and safety procedures
Role Criteria:
- Experience in the above duties
- Full UK driving license
- Knowledge of PAS 2035 domestic retrofit standards, or a willingness to learn
- Asbestos Awareness certification or willingness to obtain this training
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices on site
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work
