The Chemours Company, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team in Parkersburg, West Virginia. This highly visible role is a key contributor within both the Operations and Quality organizations and reports directly to the Global Analytical Quality Manager.

As a Quality Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that customer expectations, manufacturing performance, and quality system requirements are fully aligned. Serving as the primary liaison between Operations, Technology, Supply Chain, Customers, and Suppliers, you will lead efforts to resolve quality issues, investigate customer complaints, improve manufacturing performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver who thrives in a manufacturing environment, possesses strong technical and analytical skills, and has the ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable quality improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on product quality, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and business performance.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Serve as a quality leader and subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and established quality management systems.
• Partner with Operations, Technology, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between the Voice of the Process and the Voice of the Customer.
• Lead investigations into customer complaints, nonconforming products, process deviations, and quality-related incidents.
• Conduct root cause analyses using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and manage customer responses, including 8D reports, corrective action documentation, and quality performance communications.
• Document Customer Quality Service Issues (CQSI) and maintain accurate records within Salesforce and other business systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, manufacturing yield, process capability, and reduction of the cost of poor quality.
• Monitor plant quality performance through SAP, LIMS, IP.21, production logs, and other data sources to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Ensure appropriate disposition and management of non-standard and nonconforming materials.
• Evaluate supplier performance and participate in supplier qualification, development, and improvement activities.
• Lead and support Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and supplier performance improvement programs.
• Plan, conduct, and support internal quality audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001 and site quality procedures.
• Develop and deliver training programs, procedures, work instructions, and quality communications for operations and technical personnel.
• Represent the site during customer and supplier visits and facilitate technical discussions related to quality performance and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, analytical, and commercial teams to implement sustainable solutions that improve customer satisfaction and business results.
• Champion a culture of quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

The following is required for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Quality, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
• In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a High School Diploma/GSD with 15+ years of fluoropolymer manufacturing experience may be considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, process engineering, or technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading Root Cause Failure Analysis and corrective action investigations.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and quality management system principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively influence stakeholders and work across multiple functions and organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing information systems.

The following is preferred for this role:

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar quality certification.
• Green Belt certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
• Knowledge of SAP, LIMS, IP.21, Salesforce, and statistical process control tools.
• Experience interacting directly with customers and suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
• Audit experience, including internal, supplier, or ISO quality system audits.
• Experience in chemical, polymer, fluoroproducts, or highly regulated manufacturing industries.

$97,843.00 - $152,880.00

Annual Bonus Target:

8%

The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
