We are seeking a talented individual to join our Energy Broking team, part of our risk business at Marsh. This role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Vice President, Energy Broking will use significant risk expertise and industry and carrier knowledge to develop placement solutions across the energy, power, and mining specialties in Indonesia. The role will work closely with client executives, client teams, regional stakeholders, practice teams, insurance markets, carriers, and underwriters to support growth, retention, and exceptional client service.

We will count on you to:

• Use significant risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
• Implement placement strategies to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service, including supporting client retention and new business production.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, articulate the value of the placement function, and participate in pricing of services as applicable.
• Facilitate coverage specifications, obtain quotes from carriers under the “assist, advise, and assume” transaction model, and bind coverage with accurate placement binders.
• Create and maintain relationships with practice teams, insurance markets, clients, carriers, and underwriters to provide cohesive client service.
• Advise on changing insurance and risk management market conditions and inform client executives, client advisors, and clients of major developments affecting products and coverage.
• Work with regional and relevant stakeholders to drive growth of the energy, power, and/or mining specialty in Indonesia and provide senior placement and technical support on assigned accounts.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry, preferably in insurance broking, with strong experience in complex specialty lines and/or large corporate accounts, particularly in the upstream and downstream oil & gas sector.
• Demonstrated success in client leadership, driving commercial growth, winning large accounts, and expanding portfolio profitability.
• Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams, including matrix management across regional or global offices.
