Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.15 - $26.96 per hour.

## What you’ll do:

Job Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Eaton's Mission Systems Division you will support Manufacturing Engineers in the creation and updating of digital and other work instructions, data collection, and various manufacturing activities. This position is located in Orchard Park, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all site safety protocols.
• Generate and revise Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions in standard or digital formats.
• Work with technicians within manufacturing cells to understand processes.
• Manipulate SolidWorks models for use in work instructions.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment.
• Communicate clearly through both written and verbal methods.

## Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled and at least a Junior in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Eletrical Engineering at an accredited institution.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency. The Company may, for legitimate business reasons, decline to pursue any export licensing process.
• No relocation is provided for this role. Must reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY.

Technical Knowledge:

• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing execution systems.
• Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completed Junior or Senior year at the start of the internship.
• Prior internship experience.
