As a Field Service Engineer Specialist / Travel Technician, you'll travel to customer locations providing hands-on troubleshooting, repair, installation, and technical support for CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment. Every day brings new challenges, and your expertise plays a direct role in keeping customer operations productive and efficient.
What Travel Looks Like
- Local and regional travel to customer sites
- Some overnight travel based on customer needs and project schedules

What You'll Be Doing
- Travel to customer locations to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues
- Perform equipment repairs quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
- Install, commission, and calibrate new machinery and systems
- Troubleshoot CNC controls, PLCs, drives, motors, and automation components
- Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
- Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance
- Complete service documentation and communicate findings and recommendations
- Partner with customers to identify long-term reliability and performance improvements

Requirements
What You Need
- 3-5+ years of field service, industrial maintenance, CNC repair, or equipment troubleshooting experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC service or machine tool experience
- PLC troubleshooting and controls experience
- Equipment installation, commissioning, or startup experience
- Industrial automation experience
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, or similar control systems
