Description
In this Role You Will:
- Direct and monitor all shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Review handoff reports and address outstanding tasks from prior shifts
- Finalize orders to ensure shipments are picked, staged, loaded, and documented accurately
- Investigate material discrepancies (shortages, damages, errors) and trigger root cause analysis
- Prepare work areas, equipment, and paperwork for the next shift’s success
- Properly isolate, tag, and report nonconforming or unusable materials
- Conduct cycle counts as directed and communicate low stock levels
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are consistently followed
- Pick, load, and process outgoing shipments with full and accurate documentation
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements
- Keep accurate shipping and receiving records (packing lists, bills of lading, etc.)
- Operate computerized inventory systems, scanning equipment, and shipping software
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and yard trucks
- Verify Operators are always following safety procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required at.
- Capability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutions with diverse employees
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and shipping/warehouse setting is helpful
