Machine Operator - Temp to Hire

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Starting Rate: $23.00/hour
• After Qualification/Card Certification: $24.00/hour
• Permanent Employment Rate: Approximately $25.63/hour
• Temp-to-hire opportunity with a pathway to permanent employment after completion of prohibitionary period of 600 hours.

Operate and monitor primary production machinery and equipment at Capri Sun, Inc., ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing processes to produce high-quality Capri Sun beverages.

Job Responsibilities may include:
* Operate, monitor, and adjust primary production line machinery and equipment, including fillers, cappers, and packaging machines, in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
* Conduct regular quality checks on products, materials, and equipment to identify and resolve any deviations from specifications.
* Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks and minor troubleshooting on assigned equipment to minimize downtime.
* Document production data, including output, downtime, and quality control results, accurately and completely.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
* Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and achieve daily targets.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading as required.
* Communicate any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Job Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Prior experience (1+ year preferred) operating manufacturing machinery in a food or beverage production environment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment troubleshooting.
* Ability to read and interpret operating instructions, safety manuals, and quality control documents.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
* Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
* Knowledge of GMP and food safety principles is a plus.
