PermanentThe role of Associate Director is to proactively manage a multi-product portfolio of customer relationships focussing on driving facility utilisation and development and growing of existing customer relationships.
It will be your remit to ensure customer satisfaction is enhanced through relationship management via a planned visitation program, proactive calling and identifying opportunities to improve services and provide customer efficiencies.
You will play an important client facing, hands on, product specialist role to complement the primary client relationship that is managed by the Client Coverage banker.
You will be required to assist with questions, requirements and growth opportunities relating to Trade Asia Clients within the Corporate and Institutional banking business.
Core Responsibilities:
On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) delivering for our customer and promote specialist products and services by:
- Drive customer facility utilisation and monitoring Trade and Working Capital (TWC) facilities in your portfolio to ensure the customer’s ongoing needs are met.
- Identifying and managing customer activities on TWC facilities, instigating the necessary action to mitigate risk in collaboration with internal stakeholders whilst maintaining the overall customer relationship.
- Ensure robust risk management practices are adhered to in accordance to Trade Finance Due Diligence standard and Trade Sanctions Policy.
- Identifying risks across the portfolio via customer interactions and key risk triggers
- Proactively seeking new business opportunities for TWC and NAB Asia through conversations with clients and their advisers.
- Improve collaboration with Trade operations and colleagues across Asia and Australia
- Initiate and support change initiatives that deliver process efficiencies and reduce cost to serve
Critical Experiences:
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Strong knowledge in trade finance product and processing
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications:
- Tertiary desired
Core Skills & Capabilities required:
- An understanding of International Trade rules and regulations, asset conversion cycles, accounting principles and conventions.
- An energetic approach for business development.
- Prior experience in either Trade/Invoice Finance and /or Invoice Discounting (Receivables Financing) Sales.
- Insights to thought leadership on how we respond to the changing landscape in trade and transactional solutions.
- A commitment to on-going self-development.
