Description
Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park - Journey Beyond the Ordinary. Stovepipe Wells has an 80-room hotel, restaurant, bar, pool, gas station, general store, and gift shop. Stovepipe is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. POWDR operates Stovepipe Wells under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
The Employee Services Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of employee transportation, housing, facilities, and employee engagement at Stovepipe Wells Village. This position plays an important role in creating a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, guests, and visitors. Responsibilities include operating the employee shuttle, assisting with facility maintenance and grounds upkeep, preparing employee housing, coordinating employee activities, and providing general support to the Maintenance Manager.
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, service-oriented, and enjoys working in a dynamic hospitality environment where no two days are the same.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate the company shuttle to transport employees according to established schedules.
- Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, fueling, cleaning, and repairs for the employee shuttle.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and supporting employee events, activities, and recreational programs that promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain clean, organized, and attractive outdoor common areas, employee gathering spaces, and landscaped areas.
- Assist with preparing employee rooms for new arrivals, including cleaning, inspections, furniture setup, and minor repairs.
- Monitor employee housing and common areas to identify maintenance or safety concerns and report them promptly.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and environmental compliance.
- Comply with all applicable HazCom, HazMat, SPCC, OSHA, and other workplace safety and environmental regulations.
- Communicate professionally and positively with employees, management, contractors, vendors, guests, and visitors.
- Help foster a safe, welcoming, clean, and enjoyable environment for employees and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Ability to work and thrive in the unique environment of Death Valley National Park.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Experience driving passenger vans or shuttle vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships with co-workers, management, guests, and the public.
- Demonstrate sound professional judgment, honesty, integrity, and accountability in decision-making.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while complying with company policies and safety procedures.
- Willingness to assist in a variety of operational areas to support the overall success of the property.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to perform physical work for extended periods while maintaining attention to safety.

Work Location:
- Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. Housing may be provided on-site if available.
- A flexible schedule with commuting from Pahrump, Beatty or Las Vegas will be considered.
- Due to the nature of our business, Stovepipe Wells Village is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage of $19.00 per hour, DOE. On-site housing included.
