Role Overview
As Senior Change Manager for the FiT program, you will lead the people side of the shift to a simpler, more automated and insight-led Finance and Operations function. You will own the end-to-end change strategy and delivery across the FiT roadmap, ensuring change is designed around impacted people, executable alongside business-as-usual, and measured by genuine adoption outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Own the FiT change strategy and turn it into sequenced plans the function can realistically execute alongside business-as-usual, built around the people impacted and the adoption outcomes the program is accountable for.
- Lead change activity across all FiT streams: target operating model and agentification, governance, risk and controls, reporting and insights, and ways of working, from stakeholder engagement through to adoption.
- Assess who is impacted and how this differs by group, shape the approach around those differences, test readiness before each launch, and stay close through go-live until new processes are stable.
- Own the communication plan and write clear, effective communications aligned to corporate affairs standards, spanning firmwide policy changes, function-level updates and leader briefings.
- Design and deliver training that builds genuine capability, including AI and agent fluency for finance practitioners, and equip people leaders and F&O AI Champions to lead change in their own teams.
- Drive adoption of new systems, dashboards, automated processes and agents, and retire legacy reports, manual workarounds and outdated guidance as new ways of working land.
- Listen through pulse checks and team sessions, surface resistance early and work through it, then define, measure and report the metrics that prove adoption is real and act on what they show.
- Identify adoption risks, issues and dependencies early, escalate where needed, and own the mitigations, including where FiT intersects with the firm's AI prioritisation and other enterprise programs.
- Sequence change activity across the FiT roadmap so impacted teams can absorb it, flag where initiatives collide, report readiness and adoption performance into FiT governance and the relevant steering committees, and hand initiatives to business-as-usual with clear ownership and support in place.
- Prepare sponsors and senior leaders to make decisions and speak credibly to their teams, and build trusted relationships with function leaders, initiative owners and teams through consistent delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in change management across strategy, design and delivery phases.
- Proven track record delivering complex change initiatives and driving adoption at scale, ideally within finance, operations or other corporate functions.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives, building trusted relationships that hold through difficult conversations.
- Strong experience designing and delivering capability uplift programs for teams.
- Comfortable running change across a portfolio of many concurrent initiatives at different stages of maturity, prioritising where change effort will matter most.
- Credibility with senior leaders, grounded in clear communication, sound judgement and consistent delivery.
- Pragmatic problem solver who can navigate organisational complexity without getting stuck.
- Accountable for adoption, delivery and measurable business impact.
- Excellent communicator who can simplify complexity and bring people with them.
- Genuinely people-centred in approach, with a focus on employee experience and engagement throughout change.
Desirable skills
- Comfortable working across diverse operating models and change contexts.
- Curious about how AI and emerging technology are reshaping change practice, with the ability to apply global thinking to local execution.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Embedding change practice that sustains beyond program delivery
- Finance transformation, shared services or target operating model design
- Adoption of AI, agentic solutions or intelligent automation in a corporate function
- Enterprise finance systems and reporting platform implementations
- Governance, risk and controls, including process, risk and control documentation
- Policy reform and firmwide policy communication
