Job Description:
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced transformation professional to strengthen governance, change adoption and benefits realisation across our strategic portfolio.
This role provides independent oversight, challenge and assurance across major initiatives to ensure projects remain aligned to business objectives, deliver expected outcomes and realise intended benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Realisation
- Drive application of enterprise benefits realisation standards across strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Finance, Business and programme teams to establish measurable benefits, ownership and tracking mechanisms.
- Monitor benefits performance and challenge assumptions, forecasts and realisation plans.
- Improve transparency and reporting of financial and non-financial benefits across the portfolio.
Change Management Oversight
- Assess change readiness, stakeholder impacts and adoption risks across major initiatives.
- Monitor execution of change management activities including communications, engagement, training and adoption planning.
- Support implementation of change governance standards, measures and reporting.
Portfolio Governance & Delivery Assurance
- Support governance oversight across strategic initiatives and transformation programmes.
- Review project health, delivery risks, dependencies, decisions and escalations across the portfolio.
- Challenge project teams, sponsors and stakeholders to ensure robust planning, execution and control disciplines.
- Prepare portfolio insights, risk assessments and executive reporting for senior management forums.
- Provide evidence-based insights on delivery performance, benefits realisation and change adoption.
- Facilitate governance forums, steering committees and portfolio reviews.
Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in PMO, portfolio governance, programme assurance, transformation or consulting.
- Strong understanding of project governance, portfolio management, benefits realisation and business case management.
- Experience preparing executive-level reporting, portfolio reviews and governance materials.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating independently in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Experience within financial services or regulated industries preferred.
- Consulting experience from a Big 4 or equivalent advisory environment is advantageous.
- Qualifications such as PMP, MSP, Prosci, PMI-PMOCP or similar are desirable.
