Reporting To: Robert Wray
Compensation: $12.00 / hour
Description
What You’ll Do
- Maintain buildings, dining areas, restrooms, and common spaces in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform routine and heavy cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Gather, remove, and dispose of trash and debris from assigned areas.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restroom facilities.
- Clean windows, mirrors, partitions, furniture, fixtures, and equipment using approved cleaning products and procedures.
- Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs as needed.
- Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Mix and use cleaning solutions and chemicals in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Report supply shortages, maintenance concerns, or repair needs to management.
- Support daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain facility standards.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or operational support activities as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
- Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility cleaning experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- English required: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus!
- Experience working in dining, kitchen, or food service environments preferred.
- Basic knowledge of custodial and sanitation procedures.
- Familiarity with safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Understanding of workplace safety and cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for various facility surfaces and environments preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Ability to meet company attendance and punctuality standards.
