Job Description: 

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledgers for 4LEAF, Inc. and 4Leaf Consulting LLC. This position will track daily financial transactions, perform monthly account reconciliations, assist with audits, and respond to requests from the Accounting Manager and Controller. The position will report to the Controller. The staff accountant will be a detail-oriented professional that can manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities: 

•  Prepare and post journal entries; maintain and update ledger accounts.
•  Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and revenue and expense account analysis.
•  Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, 
•  Assist in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
•  Gather documentation and respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Associate’s degree with extensive hands-on experience will be considered.
• 2+ years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience, ideally in a small business environment.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in small business accounting software. Some but not all – QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Paylocity payroll software or similar.
• Ability to work independently, wear multiple hats, and manage confidential financial data with integrity.
• Clear, friendly communication style for interacting directly with management, team members, customers, and vendors.

Work Schedule: 

• On-site, in Pleasanton, CA 
• Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm 

Competitive salary from $77,000 - $94,200 annually depending on experience and skill set.
