Description
Blize Healthcare is looking for a Medical Biller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Bill Home Health and Hospice patients and Correct Billing errors using DDE.
- Cancellations and EOE's.
- Accurately processes and bills Medicare, Medicaid, private payer, and patient claims in accordance with payer requirements and organization policy.
- Follow up with NGS and various Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans.
- Preparing ADRs as needed; TAR entry.
- Posting payments, as well as other duties as assigned (working closely with the intake department on pre-authorizations, and assisting with the setup and review of patient profiles).
- Performing completion of claims to payers and posting charges.
- Work on getting Contracts from HMOs and renewing contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have Direct Data Entry (DDE) experience and correct Billing Errors through DDE.
- Strong Analytic and problem-solving skills.
- 1 year of related work experience.
- Knowledge of Axxess is preferred.
- Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Experience in home health or hospice.
- Check and run insurance.
- Physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.
