Job Summary:

Join PayPal’s Engineering team to build and enhance full-stack solutions that support experiences across global commerce. You’ll work with frontend and backend technologies to develop reliable, scalable applications while collaborating with Product, Design, QA, and engineering partners. This role provides the opportunity to work with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, modern JavaScript frameworks, databases, and cloud technologies while strengthening your engineering skills and contributing to high-quality customer experiences.

Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: * Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff * Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures * Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions * Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions * May contribute to code & design reviews Minimum Qualifications: * 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications: * Experience developing full-stack applications using frontend and backend technologies. * Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. * Experience with Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar backend technologies. * Experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue. * Understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies. * Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, debugging, and problem-solving. * Familiarity with software design patterns and modern application architecture. * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred. * Knowledge of payment processing, FinTech, or financial-services technology is a plus. Additional Responsibilities * Develop and enhance full-stack applications across frontend and backend components. * Build backend services using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js. * Develop user experiences using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue. * Help improve application performance, scalability, and reliability through testing, debugging, and optimization. * Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to support application requirements. * Apply knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles to engineering problems. * Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and engineering partners to develop and deliver customer-focused features.
