Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a highly experienced Strategic Programs and Capture Senior Principal to join our growing team. This role demands a disciplined executor who understands the SOF and Intelligence Community sensitive activities mission sets.

 

The ideal candidate can drive opportunities from proposal to award, bringing federal proposal expertise, a track record of building and leading capture efforts, and the ability to collaborate on organizational frameworks that make proposal teams perform. You will work within the business unit to directly shape QinetiQ's competitive positioning in the federal marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic initiatives in support of business unit short-to-mid-term delivery and capture goals.
• Support delivery in training, assessment, and procurement task orders
• Participate in the integrated product team and other initiatives to improve processes and systems within the business unit. Find root causes of problems and coordinate across functions and business units to resolve them. Focus will be placed on problems that reduce efficiency, accountability, and/or output quality.
• Build relationships external to the company, which may include customers, vendors, and commercial partners to further the business unit’s goals
• Collaboratively develop and execute capture strategies to support the expansion of the business unit’s growth strategy.
• Develop and deliver informal, internal, capture process training for technical subject matter experts
• Perform strength, weakness, opportunity, threat analyses as part of strategic initiative prioritization. Identify and recommend measures to manage risk during delivery and capture.
• Produce high-quality, compelling written proposal content including executive summaries, management approaches, and past performance narratives
• Utilize company capabilities, including AI, data repositories, etc., to increase business unit efficiency and output

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Demonstrated experience as an instructor or trainer
• Shipley’s Managing and Writing Federal Proposals certification
• 8+ years of capture and proposal management experience supporting federal government clients
• Expert knowledge in designing organizational structures for operational improvements within proposal and capture functions
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent proposals across varying contract types, sizes, and agencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, evaluator-ready prose
• Active Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Prior experience managing bids on GWACs, IDIQs, or other multi-award contract vehicles

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $140,000- $160,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
