Network Engineer

Position Summary

DAS Health is seeking a Network Engineer to support, deploy, and maintain client and DAS Health network environments. In this role, you will provide hands-on network engineering support for escalated incidents, client projects, deployments, upgrades, and network changes across LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewall, switching, routing, and voice technologies. This is an opportunity to support healthcare organizations by helping keep critical network environments reliable, secure, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Support client data and voice networks through escalated incidents, assigned projects, and day-to-day tasks
• Work directly with clients, partners, vendors, and internal teams on professional services projects, troubleshooting, deployments, upgrades, and network changes
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise-grade WAN, LAN, VPN, wireless, firewall, switching, routing, and IP voice technologies
• Analyze network monitoring, reporting, logging, and debug data to identify issues and restore service quickly
• Maintain WAN and LAN availability using monitoring and management tools, coordinating with carriers or vendors when needed
• Document network configuration changes and maintain process documentation in alignment with established change processes
• Maintain network templates and standards consistent with industry and DAS Health best practices
• Support automation and process standardization efforts that help improve service restoration and delivery
• Assist with discovery, recommendations, and planned client work while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Provide support, training, and guidance to junior team members as needed
• Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours escalations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience that includes network administration and data center engineering
• Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewall, switching, routing, IP voice, network services, and application or network protocols
• Experience with Cisco routing, firewalling, switching, and wireless technologies
• Experience supporting branch networks and troubleshooting across multi-site environments
• Ability to analyze reporting, logging, and debug data to troubleshoot network issues and support rapid service restoration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business, technology, client, partner, and vendor groups
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management, task prioritization, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Professional, self-starting approach with the ability to understand assigned work quickly and operate with minimal supervision
• Ongoing knowledge of network engineering best practices, IT infrastructure, applications, security implications, and related industry developments

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA or equivalent certification, or higher-level networking certifications
• Minimum of 5 years of networking experience
• Experience in a healthcare IT, managed services, technology services, network vendor, or multi-client support environment
• Experience or training with Juniper, Meraki, SonicWall, Palo Alto, and Fortinet technologies
• MSP experience supporting multiple clients or branch network environments
• Cloud networking exposure
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Perl
• Knowledge of ITIL principles
