About the Role
Reporting to the Customer Supply Chain Lead FBNL, the Demand Planner is responsible for driving end-to-end demand planning across all channels and accounts within the Benelux business. The role plays a critical part in ensuring product availability, optimizing inventory levels, and improving forecast accuracy to support business growth and customer service objectives.
Working at the intersection of Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, the Demand Planner develops and maintains robust demand forecasts, leads key elements of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and provides actionable insights to support decision-making. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning performance, forecasting capabilities, and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning and Forecast Management
- Own the end-to-end demand planning process for assigned channels and accounts across all Consumer Healthcare categories.
- Develop and maintain consensus-based demand forecasts across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons (0-36 months), ensuring alignment with Commercial teams.
- Integrate customer insights, market intelligence, and commercial assumptions into demand plans to improve forecast quality and reliability.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of all demand forecast drivers, including statistical baselines, promotional uplifts, repacking activities, cannibalization effects, consumption trends, inventory levels, and market data.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Contribute to and facilitate key market Commercial Cycle and S&OP meetings.
- Provide expert demand planning insight to support business decision-making and cross-functional alignment.
- Ensure promotional activities, innovation pipelines, and new product launches are accurately reflected in demand forecasts.
Inventory and Lifecycle Management
- Collaborate closely with Inventory Planners to optimize stock levels and ensure product availability.
- Support effective product lifecycle management, including new product introductions and product discontinuations.
- Proactively manage residual and slow-moving inventory in partnership with Commercial teams to minimize waste and working capital impact.
Performance Management and Continuous Improvement
- Own and improve key demand planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, statistical forecasting performance, and forecast completeness.
- Prepare and manage regular reporting of demand planning performance metrics.
- Conduct root cause analyses of forecast variances and service issues, developing mitigation and improvement plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within demand planning processes, tools, and ways of working.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work effectively with Commercial, Finance, Customer Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, and broader Supply Chain teams.
- Interpret key trends impacting channel and account performance and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Actively contribute to supply chain transformation projects, planning workstreams, and capability-building initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Forecasting, or related Supply Chain functions.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes and planning principles.
- Experience working with forecasting and planning systems, including SAP and/or Advanced Planning Systems (APS).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Good commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex datasets and processes.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is considered an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within FMCG, Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical, or similarly fast-paced environments.
- Experience participating in or leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Knowledge of statistical forecasting methodologies and demand planning best practices.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
- Familiarity with inventory management and product lifecycle planning.

EUR 53,020.00 - EUR 72,902.50 The salary range for this position is indicative and provided as a guide. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Salary ranges may vary by location in line with local market conditions and applicable pay transparency regulations. Compensation information is shared for the primary location of this role.
