Located in northern Italy, our Palazzo Pignano plant serves as a key center for the production and development of dialysis-related medical devices. With more than 550 employees, the plant specializes in manufacturing both peritoneal dialysis (PD) disposables and hemodialysis (HD) bloodline components. It combines large-scale production capabilities with strong R&D and engineering expertise. About the role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Expert to join our Quality team.
In this role, you will support the Quality Control Manager in coordinating daily QC operations, ensuring compliance with quality requirements, and maintaining continuity of departmental activities. You will play a key role in overseeing incoming inspections, in-process controls, finished product testing, sterilization activities, and microbiological testing managed through external laboratories.
The position offers the opportunity to work in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, collaborating closely with Production, Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure the highest standards of product quality and patient safety.
Your responsibilities
As Quality Control Expert, you will:
Support the QC Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating Quality Control activities.
Coordinate day-to-day QC operations, setting priorities and ensuring alignment with production timelines and SAP release schedules.
Ensure the correct execution of quality controls on incoming materials, components, semi-finished products, and finished products.
Review and approve quality control documentation and batch records.
Release semi-finished products to the next phase of the manufacturing process.
Manage non-conformities, customer complaints, SNCRs, process changes, and special permissions.
Coordinate outsourced microbiological testing activities, including analysis planning, result review, deviation management, environmental monitoring, and cleanroom revalidation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support training and development activities within the QC team.
Act as deputy for the QC Manager during absences, ensuring operational continuity.
Support validation activities and the introduction of new products, materials, and processes.
Participate in the review and validation of analytical methods where applicable.
What you'll bring
Required qualifications
Scientific high school diploma or equivalent technical/scientific qualification.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Control environment or in a comparable quality-related role.
Good command of English (B1/B2 level).
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong technical mindset and hands-on approach.
Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications
Degree in a scientific discipline or Engineering degree with a scientific focus.
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments, preferably medical devices, pharma, healthcare, or related industries.
Knowledge of quality systems, validation activities, and laboratory coordination processes.

The indicative annual base salary range for this position is between €28,000 and €36,000.
