SUMMARY
Brooklyn Basketball brings the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty together to establish a community-first basketball experience. Our goal is to grow the game for participants of all ages through professionally led clinics and camps, community-focused events, instructional content, unique basketball experiences, and much more. Brooklyn Basketball is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and results-oriented Manager, Sales & Service to lead sales efforts across Brooklyn Basketball programs, trainings, rentals, birthday experiences, and other revenue-generating opportunities.
The Manager, Sales & Service – Brooklyn Basketball will report to the Director of Business Operations, Brooklyn Basketball, and serve as both an individual seller and people manager. The incumbent will be responsible for driving individual and team sales performance, managing the sales pipeline, and developing strategies that increase enrollment, revenue, and retention.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the sale of Brooklyn Basketball programs, including After-School Club, camps, clinics, trainings, rentals, birthday experiences, group opportunities, and other revenue-generating offerings.
- Personally cultivate relationships with high-value prospects and partners through calls, emails, events, and other face-to-face engagement opportunities.
- Manage, coach, and develop the Brooklyn Basketball sales & service team through regular one-on-ones, team meetings, pipeline reviews, call coaching, goal setting, and ongoing feedback, while communicating reports and recommendations to leadership.
- Establish clear team priorities, sales processes, performance expectations, and key performance indicators for sales staff while ensuring a seamless transition within the sales & service team from booking through event delivery.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on families, schools, organizations, corporate groups, and other prospective customers across the NYC Metro Area.
- Own and monitor the team’s sales pipeline from lead generation through conversion, ensuring timely follow-up, effective prioritization, accurate forecasting and strong customer communication within Salesforce.
- Collaborate with the Director of Business Operations and internal stakeholders to develop campaign strategies, lead-generation opportunities, cadence automation, AI-enabled workflows, incentive programs, and other initiatives to support revenue growth.
- Coordinate the Brooklyn Basketball sales calendar, revenue cycle and annual schedule, including priority sales events and the Brooklyn Basketball facility schedule.
- Use sales reporting, customer data, market research, and performance insights to identify trends, improve conversion, and develop innovative revenue-generating opportunities.
- Meet and exceed personal and team performance objectives while maintaining a high standard of customer service and representing The Brooklyn Way.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of professional sales experiences, preferably in sports, hospitality, events, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience managing or coaching sales and client-facing professionals preferred.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and related software.
- Demonstrated success owning a sales pipeline, meeting individual revenue goals, and converting leads into customers.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of basketball programming and sales strategies.

COMPENSATION
$72,000 - $90,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent will work primarily in an office or facility environment but will be required to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area to attend community events, clinics, etc.
