Staff Technologist

Pay: *New Wage Scale* 

• Base Wage- $23.74; Increased based on experience

Incentive Eligible Position:

• Yes

Hours:

• 1800-0600; 36 hours per week 

Essential Function:

• Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions.
• Preparing equipment for use as needed.
• Preparing examination rooms for patient exams.
• Positioning patients for imaging exams.
• Monitoring patients during exams.
• Documenting information with computers.
• Reporting important information to the physician.
• Ensuring safety of patients during exams.
• Producing diagnostic images of soft tissues.

Skills:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
• Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions: 

• Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
• Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions. 

Physical Demands:

• Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per workday. 
• The ability to lift up 50 lbs. 

Qualifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) ARDMS or enrolled in an accredited school. 
• Class C Basic Life Support ( CPR) within 90 days of employment and renew. 
• Must adhere to appropriate Diagnostic Imaging attire. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a hospital or comparable setting. 
• CT experience is preferred, but will train
