Senior Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in our Architecture and Engineering Group as part of Consumer Technology. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Software Engineer drives the adoption of modern testing tools and practices by delivering reusable frameworks, reference implementations, and direct engineering support to delivery teams, enabling higher-quality and more efficient software delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of Java/J2EE experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test solutions into CI/CD using Selenium, Playwright, and/or Karate

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience operating as a technical leader or subject matter expert for test automation or quality engineering
• Experience with enterprise test management and traceability tooling (e.g., Octane or similar platforms)
• Expertise in HyperExecute based test orchestration, including parallelization strategies, test execution optimization, artifact management, and CI/CD integration for large-scale enterprise automation programs.
• Proven experience designing scalable automation frameworks and leveraging cloud execution platforms such as HyperExecute to enabling faster, reliable, and data-driven software delivery.
• Knowledge of risk-based testing, test traceability, and quality governance practices
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy automation solutions to contemporary frameworks
• Background working in large-scale, highly regulated, or risk-sensitive technology environments

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $100,000.00 - $196,000.00
