Looking to build real-world experience in government contracting and compliance? This hybrid internship provides hands-on exposure to government contracts, subawards, compliance reporting, and financial administration. The intern will work directly with the Sr. Contracts & Grants Administrator and will gain practical experience in contract review, compliance documentation, and financial tracking. This role is particularly well-suited for students studying pre-law, political science, business, finance, or a related field who are interested in government contracts, compliance, or nonprofit administration.
This is a hybrid, Pittsburgh-based internship with periodic in-person meetings, running 10–12 weeks with flexible scheduling and part-time hours up to 20 per week, where you will be part of a local intern group.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and compliance support for contracts and subawards.
- Maintain internal spreadsheets and trackers to ensure accurate financial reporting and deadline management.
- Review and maintain file integrity within OneDrive, ensuring proper organization and audit readiness.
- Perform data entry and tracking with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support research and maintenance activities within Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Assist with general award administration and government contract documentation.
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Pre-Law, Political Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, basic formulas, organization).
- Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM tools preferred.
- Experience using OneDrive or similar document management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must feel comfortable reaching out internally in a hybrid/remote work environment.
- Highly organized with strong administrative and data management skills.
- Candidate must be a US citizen.
