Description
Serves as Senior Consultant providing expert guidance and/or recommendations on IT solutions and system processes that address current business needs and future IT strategic direction. Provides technical consulting and project management for small to large projects. Address business user concerns and/or challenges on system functionality or project scope. Develop and implement continuous improvement objectives that address process inefficiencies. Works alone with a high level of autonomy and as a team member on technical functions associated with his/her responsibility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required
- Business & financial requirements: Understand finance processes such as accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and finance controls; translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Finance systems: Implement, configure, support, or enhance ERP/EPM applications such as Performio, Commissions, Concur, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Data & reporting: Develop or improve reports, dashboards, reconciliations, and data integrations; help ensure data is accurate and consistent.
- Systems integration: Coordinate interfaces between applications and other enterprise systems.
- Process improvement & automation: Identify manual processes and automate or streamline them using workflows, system enhancements, RPA, APIs, or other technologies.
- Testing & implementation: Prepare functional specifications, test scenarios, UAT plans, defect tracking, deployment activities, and post-production support.
- Controls & compliance: Support internal controls, audit requirements, access controls, segregation of duties, SOX compliance, and data-security requirements.
- Project management: Work with finance, IT, vendors, developers, and management to manage requirements, timelines, risks, issues, and deliverables.
- User support & training: Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, create documentation, and train finance users.
- Stakeholder communication: Explain technical topics to finance stakeholders and financial/business requirements to technical teams.

Experience
- 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Master's / Postgraduate Degree in MIS, Computer Science, MBA, or a related discipline preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting processes and business operations.
- Experience with ERP systems and enterprise business applications.
- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.
- Ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional solutions.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system implementations, and integrations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Able to execute instructions and seek clarification when needed.
- Strong data entry, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
- Quick learner, capable of adapting to new systems, technologies, and processes.
- Advanced proficiency in relevant computer applications and business systems.
