Warehouse Associate

Description

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory handling, material movement, order fulfillment, and manufacturing support. This role helps ensure materials and products are accurately processed, stored, picked, and shipped in a safe and timely manner. The Warehouse Associate works closely with the Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Manager as well as cross-functional teams to maintain efficient warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders 
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for domestic and international shipment 
• Pick manufacturing orders and stage materials to support production and manufacturing operations 
• Accurately pull parts and materials based on manufacturing work orders and production schedules 
• Package products to ensure safe transit and compliance with carrier requirements 
• Process shipments using parcel carriers such as FedEx and UPS 
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently 
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities 
• Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or warehouse management systems 
• Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks 
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards 
• Assist with material staging and support production or manufacturing teams as needed 
• Coordinate with internal teams to support on-time deliveries and material availability 
• Follow company procedures related to shipping, receiving, inventory, and workplace safety
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of Fortem Technologies, Inc.

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience

• 1+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, manufacturing support, or logistics experience preferred 
• Experience using shipping systems such as FedEx or UPS preferred 
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or ERP systems 
• Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. 
• Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain certification 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Good communication and teamwork skills  

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Hazmat certification for shipping regulated materials 
• Knowledge of import/export compliance and Incoterms 
• Forklift certification 
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory control 
• Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
