Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Endeavor Health is accepting applications for our RN New Graduate Residency Programs across multiple hospital locations for the March 15, 2027 cohort. These structured programs support newly licensed registered nurses transitioning into professional practice through clinical orientation, classroom education, simulation, mentorship, peer support, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.

Accreditation Note: Edward and Elmhurst Hospitals are accredited with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs (ANCC COA-PTAP).

 

Participating Locations & Specialty Breakdown:

Edward Hospital 
•    Address: 801 S. Washington Street, Naperville, IL 60540
•    Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours/week; days/nights with rotating weekends and holidays.

•    Direct Unit Placement: Cardiac Telemetry, Medical Oncology, Pulmonary Medicine, Ortho/Spine, Surgical Care, and Critical Care.

Elmhurst Hospital 
•    Address: 155 E. Brush Hill Road, Elmhurst, IL 60126
•    Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; days/nights with rotating weekends and holidays.

•    Clinical Rotations: Med/Surg-focused residents rotate through three settings before final placement (Medical, Surgical, Ortho/Neuro/Spine, General Surgery, Oncology, Pulmonary Medicine, Cardiovascular Services).
•    Specialty Placement (Subject to availability): Critical Care, Surgical Services, Family Birthing Center, Endoscopy/GI Lab, and Operating Room

Evanston Hospital 
•    Address: 2650 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201
•    Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; days/nights with rotating weekends and holidays.
•    Clinical Rotations: 3-setting rotation prior to home placement (Neuro/Urology/Overflow, Medical Oncology, Cardiovascular/Stroke Telemetry, General Medical/Surgical, and ICU Stepdown/Overflow).

•    Specialty Placement (Subject to availability): ICU and Emergency Department

 

Glenbrook Hospital 
•    Address: 2100 Pfingsten Road, Glenview, IL 60025
•    Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; days/nights with rotating weekends and holidays.
•    Clinical Rotations: 3-setting rotation prior to home placement (General Medical Telemetry, Cardiac Medical Telemetry, Cardiovascular Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Stroke Medical Telemetry, and Cardiac Post-Procedural Medical Telemetry).

Highland Park Hospital 
•    Address: 777 Park Avenue West, Highland Park, IL 60035
•    Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; days/nights with rotating weekends and holidays.
•    Clinical Rotations: 3-setting rotation prior to home placement (Cardiac Medical Telemetry, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Medical Telemetry, and Neuro Stroke Medical Telemetry).

Northwest Community Hospital 
•    Address: 800 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005
•    Schedule: Days and nights required with rotating weekends/holidays. Rotates initially, then transitions to 36 hours/week (12-hour shifts, every other weekend) on home unit.
•    Clinical Rotations: Rotates through selected medical/surgical settings before placement (Cardiac Renal, Post-Surgical, Neurology, Orthopedics, Medical Pulmonary, Oncology, Medical Observation, General Medical, and Medical-Surgical).

Skokie Hospital
•    Address: 9600 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL 60076
•    Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; days/nights with rotating weekends and holidays.
•    Clinical Rotations: 3-setting rotation prior to home placement (Orthopedic/Medical/Surgical Telemetry)

 

What You Will Do:

•    Provide safe, professional, and person-centered nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
•    Participate in clinical orientation, classroom education, simulation, group discussion, and reflective learning.
•    Develop bedside skills through supervised practice and experiential learning.
•    Use clinical equipment, documentation systems, and electronic health records appropriately.
•    Recognize changes in patient condition and respond effectively.
•    Progress from task-based learning toward critical thinking, clinical judgment, and anticipation of patient needs.
•    Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the interprofessional team.
•    Apply communication and conflict-management strategies to promote safe and timely care.
•    Participate in discussions involving ethical issues, including end-of-life care, palliative care, and hospice transitions.
•    Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
•    Participate in evidence-based practice and/or quality improvement projects.

What You Will Need:

Education
•    Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher preferred.
•    Candidates with an Associate Degree in Nursing may be considered based on hospital-specific requirements and approval.
•    ADN-prepared nurses generally must obtain a BSN or higher within five years of starting the RN position.

Licensure and Certification
•    Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
•    Current Illinois Registered Nurse license, or eligibility for license-pending employment.

Candidates awaiting Illinois RN licensure may be eligible to practice under the direction of a registered professional nurse if they:
•    Provide official written notification of passing the NCLEX.
•    Submit the Illinois RN license application and required fees by the position start date.
