Team: Multi-Site Projects & Facilities Engineering Team

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and monitor HVAC and M&E projects across Penang and other assigned sites.
- Provide technical and operational support to site teams for HVAC, mechanical, electrical and utility systems.
- Coordinate equipment installation, testing, commissioning, system integration and project handover.
- Review project requirements, technical drawings, work methods, quotations, schedules, material submissions and technical specifications.
- Monitor project progress, quality, cost and schedule to ensure projects are completed according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot HVAC and M&E system faults, identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities when required.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, service providers and internal teams.
- Supervise site works and ensure compliance with approved specifications, safety procedures, Permit-to-Work and site regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, progress meetings and quality checks.
- Prepare project progress reports, technical reports, testing & commissioning records and handover documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, operating costs and maintenance practices.
- Provide technical support during breakdowns, emergencies or critical operational situations when required.
- Travel between assigned sites based on project and operational requirements.
Technical Experience & Skills:
- Practical knowledge of HVAC systems, including air-conditioning, ventilation, chilled-water systems, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs and control systems.
- Good knowledge of M&E systems, including electrical distribution, motors, pumps, plumbing, fire protection, compressed air, water and utility systems.
- Experience in project coordination, equipment installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Able to read and interpret M&E drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals and technical specifications.
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, suppliers and site teams.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, CMMS and Building Management Systems (BMS) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, risk assessment, LOTO and Permit-to-Work procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical reporting.
- Good communication, coordination, planning and time-management skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects and sites.
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, cleanroom, healthcare, data centre or other critical-facility environments is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Preferably 2–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC, M&E, facilities engineering, plant utilities, maintenance or project engineering.
- Fresh graduates with good technical knowledge and a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Facilities Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HVAC, M&E, facilities or project engineering experience.
- Relevant HVAC, air-conditioning, mechanical, electrical or M&E certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of environmental, health & safety, energy-management and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Valid Malaysian driving licence.
- Willing to travel between assigned customer sites in Penang and surrounding areas.
