A Day in the Life
Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) partners with hospitals, clinics, and payers to drive meaningful change and create more value for patients. Our team of experienced professionals brings deep knowledge of the healthcare value chain and broad expertise across disciplines.As the Inventory Control Manager, UK&I, you will lead strategic inventory initiatives that drive operational excellence, optimise stock performance, and support sustainable business growth. Working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Care, Finance, and Commercial teams, you will develop inventory management practices that balance service, cost, and risk while ensuring products are available to meet customer needs. You will use data-driven insights to improve inventory visibility, reduce waste, and enhance working capital performance through continuous improvement initiatives. This is a UK-based hybrid role with opportunities to support current and new Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) accounts nationally, working with internal and external stakeholders both virtually and on-site.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Develop and execute inventory control strategies that optimise stock levels, product availability, and working capital performance across UK & Ireland accounts
- Establish and maintain inventory parameters including par levels, minimum and maximum thresholds, reorder points, and inventory classification methodologies to improve stock performance
- Lead initiatives to reduce excess, obsolete, and expiring inventory while driving inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
- Own governance of consignment inventory, including supplier agreements, stock movement controls, usage reconciliation, and audit readiness
- Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Customer Care, Commercial, and clinical stakeholders to improve inventory visibility, service levels, and operational efficiency
- Monitor inventory performance metrics, maintain data integrity within inventory management systems, and provide actionable recommendations using data-driven insights
- Ensure compliance with inventory management policies, product recall processes, and First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) inventory practices
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in inventory management and inventory control, including replenishment planning, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and stock governance
- Knowledge of inventory optimisation techniques, including inventory classification methodologies and inventory performance management
- Experience analysing operational data, interpreting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting root cause analysis, and developing data-driven recommendations
- Understanding of governance controls, inventory compliance requirements, and risk management practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple sites and functions
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
