Property Accountant

Rockville based multi-generational real estate and investment holding company founded on the principles of honesty, integrity, hard work, hands-on management and philanthropy is seeking a likeminded professional to join their property accounting team.

This multifaceted position includes traditional accounting and bookkeeping duties as well as lease administration, coordination of tenant matters and property management support.

Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, have a high level of professionalism and integrity, a helpful positive and proactive attitude and will be able to multitask. Discretion regarding tenant and company information is a must.

This position is 100% in-office role at our Corporate Headquarters in Rockville, MD.

Accounting and Lease Administration duties to include:

· Lease abstracting and monthly billings for assigned properties

· Recordation of cash receipts and deposits

· Payment of vendor and utility invoices

· Maintenance of accounting records in General Ledger System (Entrada/Voyager)

· Journal Entries

· Bank and other account reconciliations

· Invoice Processing

· Calculation of monthly management fees

· Monthly Accounts Receivable reporting

· Maintaining Rent Rolls and tracking lease expirations

· Monitoring Tenant compliance with lease requirements

· Annual CAM Reconciliations

· Budgeting and variance analysis

· Vendor / 1099 Reporting

· Assisting with reporting and analysis as needed

Tenant and Property Management Support duties to include:

· Serving as point of contact for all Tenant inquiries

· Coordinating payment for maintenance and emergency repair issues with Building Engineers and Senior Property Manager

· Additional duties as assigned as our company continues to grow

Position reports directly to the CFO.

Requirements

· BA/BS in Accounting or Finance

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Able to work both independently and within a team environment

· Superior communication skills

· Retail real estate experience a plus
