Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver Assignment in New Castle, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to shoppers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual activity and potential hazards.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized access through visible presence and professional interaction.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with location-specific requirements, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
