OVERVIEW

The Underwriting Manager leads the daily operational execution, queue performance, and talent development for the Underwriting team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales Operations, you will manage workforce schedules, drive team metrics, handle escalations, and lead cross-functional projects supporting sales compliance and operational efficiency. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operations & SLA Management: Oversee daily queue workflows, SLA adherence, workforce scheduling, and credit/SRA processes across point-of-sale and notice-to-proceed milestones. 
• Team Leadership & Development: Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews for onshore leads/agents, driving skill development, mentorship, and accountability. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales Channels, Legal/Compliance, Sales Support, and offshore partner teams to manage exception processes and align with investor requirements. 
• Process Improvement & Innovation: Design and implement new internal workflows, pilot special projects, and collaborate with AI teams to enhance automation/bot capabilities. 
• Metrics & Reporting: Utilize Salesforce and Excel reporting to track agent performance, audit credit workflows, and drive alignment across sales operations. 

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), plus a minimum of 6+ years of relevant professional experience. 
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in underwriting, operations, or a related field (previous Sunrun experience is a strong plus).
• Strong analytical problem-solving, process mapping, and performance management capabilities. 
• Advanced proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) reporting, Excel, and G-Suite. 
• Excellent cross-functional communication and adaptability in fast-paced environments

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL 

• Physical Demands: Standard office environment requiring extended computer work and active participation in virtual and in-person meetings.
• Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to corporate offices 3–5 times per year

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

$83,776.62 to $111,702.16
