About BrandSensory

BrandSensory is a brand strategy and design agency specialising in sensory and emotion-led design for premium brands. We work across hospitality, corporate, food & beverage, leisure and retail sectors, helping ambitious UK brands build identities and holistic client experiences that engage every sense.

The Role at a Glance

You'll split your week across three strands of work:

  • 2.5 days — client account: dedicated to one of our key clients, a UK luxury hotel group, acting as the day-to-day design lead on their account.
  • 1.5 days — other client work and agency projects: supporting BrandSensory's own output and other client projects across the studio.

You'll be the agency's only in-house designer, so you'll need to work independently and manage your own time and priorities with confidence — while staying closely aligned with the directors and, when needed, freelancers who come in for extra capacity.

Client Account: Luxury Hotel Company

For 2.5 days a week, you'll be the dedicated designer on our luxury hotel client account, producing a wide range of collateral including:

  • Menus
  • Packaging
  • In-room collateral
  • Posters
  • Canva templates
  • Brochures
  • Postcards
  • Other brand touchpoints as they arise

You'll act as brand guardian for this account, applying the client's newly completed brand and technical guidelines carefully and consistently across every piece of work. You'll also support the Head of Marketing with approvals, acting as a reliable point of contact who can turn work around accurately and on brief, flagging anything that needs the directors' input.

Agency Work

For the remainder of your week, you'll support the wider studio and other client projects, including:

  • Formatting and designing case studies
  • Supporting pitch decks for new business
  • Occasional website and social media content or updates

This is a great opportunity to shape the visual output of BrandSensory itself, not just client work.

Ad Hoc Client Work

As new business comes in, you may also pick up one-off projects across our wider client base, which could include:

  • Logo refreshes
  • Concept decks
  • Installation designs
  • Labels and packaging
  • Signage

This work will vary in scale and pace, so flexibility and the ability to pick up a brief quickly are important.

About You

  • Midweight experience: you've built a solid track record as a designer and are comfortable working with minimal supervision — you don't need hand-holding to get from brief to finished artwork.
  • Range: equally at ease knocking out a quick, on-brand Canva graphic as you are producing detailed, print-ready InDesign artwork for a high-end advert or luxury piece of collateral.
  • Tool fluency: confident across the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva, with the technical know-how to prepare files correctly for print and digital.
  • Brand discipline: experienced at working within detailed brand and technical guidelines, applying them consistently and spotting when something's off-brand.
  • Relevant sector experience: exposure to premium or luxury brands is highly desirable, ideally within hospitality, food & beverage, leisure or retail.
  • Organised and self-sufficient: able to manage multiple live briefs across different projects and clients at once, prioritising effectively without close oversight.

Personal Attributes

As the only designer in-house, you'll be a key part of the team and often the client's first point of contact for design queries. We're looking for someone who is:

  • Collaborative, friendly and personable — comfortable being client-facing and building trusted relationships
  • Professional work ethic and relationship skills, being polite and courteous both internally and with clients
  • Fluent English written and oral skills, able to articulate design concepts clearly and communicate effectively
  • Confident working independently, while knowing when to flag things to the directors
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable juggling several projects and deadlines at once
  • Genuinely interested in sensory, emotion-led design and premium brand experiences
  • Happy working alongside freelancers as an extension of the team, not just solo
