Lexington, KY
$50,000–$60,000 Salary | Direct Hire
Skilled Trades Partners is seeking a tech-savvy Office Administrator for a direct-hire opportunity with an established fire protection contractor in Lexington, KY.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced administrative role supporting both the office and field operations. We’re looking for someone who is organized, comfortable learning and working across multiple software platforms, and willing to jump in wherever needed to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Experience working for an MEP, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, pipefitting, or similar construction contractor would be a strong plus.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with payroll administration and track down outstanding employee timecards
- Work within the company CRM and several other internal software platforms
- Support employee onboarding and basic HR-related administrative tasks
- Assist with small purchasing requests from field teams
- Help monitor and audit the company vehicle fleet
- Maintain organized employee, project, and operational records
- Communicate regularly with field employees, supervisors, and office personnel
- Help resolve administrative issues and follow up on outstanding information
- Occasionally travel to local jobsites using a company vehicle when needed
- Provide general administrative and operational support across the business
What We’re Looking For
- Previous office administration, operations, or construction administrative experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new technology
- Comfortable working across multiple software programs and systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable following up with employees and field personnel to obtain needed information
- Professional communication and problem-solving skills
- MEP or construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Fire protection, sprinkler fitting, pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical industry experience is a major plus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to occasionally travel to local jobsites
- Ability to pass a drug screen
Compensation & Opportunity
- $50,000–$60,000 salary, based on experience
