The Role
As a Senior Engineer – Roads & Highways, you will provide technical expertise and project delivery support across a diverse portfolio of transport infrastructure projects. Based in Sydney, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the planning, design and delivery of road, highway and civil infrastructure projects across New South Wales and Australia.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver road and highway design solutions across all project phases.
- Undertake geometric design, corridor modelling and technical design reviews.
- Prepare reports, specifications and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.
- Support project delivery to programme, budget and quality objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor and support Graduate and developing Engineers.
- Contribute to business development, proposals and technical excellence initiatives.
About You
You are an experienced roads and highways engineer with a passion for delivering practical, innovative transport solutions. You enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, collaborating across disciplines and supporting the development of emerging talent. With experience across road and civil infrastructure projects, you thrive in a client-focused consulting environment and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of our Sydney team.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 6-8 years' experience delivering roads, highways and civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience in road design, geometric design and transport infrastructure delivery.
- Proficiency with relevant industry software, including 12d, OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines and TfNSW design requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and client outcomes.
- Chartered status, CPEng or NER registration, or active progression towards achieving professional accreditation.
Preferred: Experience delivering Transport for NSW (TfNSW) projects and familiarity with NSW road design standards, approvals and project delivery requirements.
