## Key Responsibilities
- Direct the operation, reliability, upkeep, and continuous advancement of site-wide mechanical and energy systems, including HVAC, chilled water, exhaust, process cooling water, compressed air, process vacuum, FMCS, and electrical systems.
- Serve as the technical focal point for assigned utility systems, ensuring flawless performance, reliability improvement, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with System Level Process Owners and cross-functional teams to successfully implement engineering standards, guidelines, and pivotal initiatives.
- Direct root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex system and equipment problems, ensuring effective application of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Deploy and apply AI-enabled predictive maintenance and condition monitoring solutions to improve equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize maintenance strategies.
- Develop and apply digital twin models for utility systems, infrastructure assets, and facility operations to support capacity planning, scenario modeling, risk assessment, and operational optimization.
- Employ Industrial IoT (IIoT), AI analytics, and smart sensor technologies to monitor real-time equipment health, utility performance, energy consumption, and operational efficiency.
- Apply machine learning, statistical analytics, and advanced data visualization techniques to identify performance degradation, predict system failures, and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with Digital Transformation, Manufacturing, IT, and Facility Engineering teams to develop and implement smart factory and intelligent facility initiatives.
- Use Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and engineering AI platforms to improve engineering efficiency, automate technical documentation, streamline troubleshooting, and improve decision-making processes.
- Lead automation and digitalization initiatives that integrate FMCS, BMS, SCADA, EMS, and enterprise data platforms to enable intelligent facility operations and predictive decision support.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, energy consumption, and operating metrics to find opportunities for optimization, energy reduction, and sustainability improvements.
- Drive compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001, and other applicable regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Mentor engineers and technicians, providing technical mentorship and knowledge sharing to strengthen organizational capability.
## Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical & electrical engineering or related field or certified 11kV electrical proficient person.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in facilities engineering, HVAC, industrial utilities, semiconductor manufacturing, or a similar high-volume industrial environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems such as 11kV electrical systems, UPS, PQMS, MSB, capacitor bank, LV distribution network, VFD, etc.
- Understanding HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, process cooling water, exhaust, vacuum, and other industrial utility systems will provide additional benefits.
- Good understanding of energy management principles, system optimization, and sustainability programs.
- Proficiency in engineering build and drafting software such as AutoCAD and related engineering tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills applying structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Effective communication and collaborator management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, driven to accomplish objectives, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated capability to lead technical initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Willing to provide after-hours technical support and respond to critical operational issues when required.
- Committed to safety, operational excellence, reliability improvement, and continuous professional development.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
