Portfolio Manager

Job Summary**

The Portfolio Manager at RHB Bank Berhad is responsible for managing investment portfolios, developing and implementing investment strategies, and ensuring strong financial performance for clients while adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

Job Responsibilities**

* Construct, monitor, and rebalance investment portfolios across various asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, money market instruments) in line with client objectives and risk appetites.
* Conduct in-depth market research and fundamental analysis of economic trends, industry sectors, and individual securities to identify investment opportunities and risks.
* Develop and implement tactical and strategic asset allocation strategies to optimize portfolio returns and manage volatility.
* Prepare and present regular investment performance reports to clients, detailing portfolio holdings, performance attribution, and market outlook.
* Maintain strong client relationships by providing expert advice, addressing inquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Collaborate with sales, research, and product teams to enhance investment offerings and client solutions.
* Ensure all investment activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
* Stay abreast of global financial markets, economic developments, and emerging investment themes.
* Participate in investment committee meetings and contribute to overall investment strategy discussions.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree or CFA designation is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, or a similar role within a financial institution.
* Proven track record of managing successful investment portfolios and achieving strong returns.
* Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, risk management principles, and regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysis software (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon).
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
