Community & Administration
- Resident Engagement: Actively "walk the floor" to build trusting, professional relationships with residents, fostering a highly encouraging and inclusive environment.
- Health Screenings & Attendance: Administer basic pre-exercise health screenings, document resident progress, and maintain accurate daily attendance tracking logs.
- Sanitization Standards: Ensure both gym equipment and the pool deck facilities remain clean, organized, and strictly adherent to community hygiene guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of active experience leading fitness instruction, with verifiable experience in both traditional gym environments and aquatic/pool settings.
- Older Adult Specialist: Proven experience working with older adults or individuals managing chronic health conditions, physical limitations, or disabilities.
- Core Certifications: Nationally recognized Group Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA).
- Aquatic Certification: Specialized Water Aerobics or Aquatic Fitness certification (e.g., AEA - Aquatic Exercise Association) is highly preferred.
- Safety Credentials: Current and active CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are strictly required and paid for by company within 30 days of the start date.
- Soft Skills: Strong, positive communication style, patient demeanor, and deep knowledge of senior exercise physiology.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to demonstrate movements on land and in water, safely lift or shift up to 50 lbs, and remain on your feet for extended training blocks.

- Competitive hourly rate starting at $22+/hour.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) retirement matching program.
- Paid time off (PTO) and continuous education allowance for fitness certifications.
