Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Truck Loader is responsible for loading and unloading goods on trucks, preparing orders and maintaining an accurate inventory count. The Truck Loader is also responsible for the cleanliness of the loading dock and surrounding areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loads and unloads trucks while adhering to strict safety regulations.
• Operates warehouse equipment in a safe and timely fashion.
• Cleans warehouse to ensure it is always presentable.
• Audits inventory of both the warehouse and trucks to ensure accuracy.
• Communicates with supervisor any problems regarding the maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Able to demonstrate the commitment to Arctic Glacier’s Management Systems: Quality/Food Safety, Environment Health, Safety and Health, and the Leadership Principles utilized by Arctic for managing and improvement. 
• Other duties may be assigned.

Salary - $25/hour

SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS:

• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Able to work independently and in a team setting.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a high school diploma.
• 1 years’ experience in a distribution environment considered an asset.

EQUIPMENT / MACHINES USED:

• Equipment related to loading trucks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs repeatedly.
