Job Posting: Payroll ManagerJob DescriptionComplete Logistical Services is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Payroll Manager. As part of our finance team, this Contract/Temporary position will play a pivotal role in handling our payroll operations. We are looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining payroll accuracy and compliance. It is important to note that this role requires on-site presence; it is not a remote position. This role demands a proactive manager who can not only manage the complexities of payroll but also drive efficiency and coach a team towards sustained excellence.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day US Payroll operations ensuring compliance and accuracy in all transactions.Manage and resolve any payroll discrepancies or queries promptly.Coach, support, and develop the payroll team to enhance performance and ensure efficient operation.Maintain a robust payroll system, updating and ensuring adherence to payroll policies and procedures.Ensure all payroll activities are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.Prepare reports summarizing payroll information for management's review and decision making.Work closely with HR and finance teams to align payroll management with overall organizational policies and goals.Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.Drive continuous improvement in the payroll process and utilize data-driven strategies to achieve payroll excellence.Handle payroll issues proficiently while ensuring the confidentiality of employee data.Act as a key point of contact for all payroll-related discussions within the company.Guide the payroll team through the operational changes and system migrations as part of organization-wide ERP transformation projects.RequirementsProven experience leading a medium to large US payroll function.Strong knowledge of US payroll legislation, taxation, and compliance requirements.Experience in managing, developing, and coaching payroll teams.High competence in organizational and prioritization skills, with the capacity to remain poised under pressure.Decisive and confident decision-making skills, capable of operating independently.Efficient stakeholder management and communication capabilities.Skilled at managing multiple competing priorities while upholding operational excellence.Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll or similar ERP systems, notably during periods of transformation.Ideal candidates will have experience supporting payroll teams through organizational or system changes.Understanding of large, complex, or global organizational structures is advantageous.Adaptability to balance the immediacy of operational needs with longer-term strategic initiatives.Exceptional skills in building and leading teams, fostering an environment that encourages proactive and independent management of payroll functions within the team.Schedule adherence required with options for 7am-4pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, or 8am-5pm, committing to one time frame for the duration of the assignment.Must be able to work onsite following a hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite during the first two weeks, then transition to 1 day onsite thereafter.Openness to the potential extension of the contract beyond the initial 8 weeks, although not guaranteed.
