Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent to join our team as the Sr. Manager, Global Communications & Public Affairs (CPA) for Neurovascular. This role will lead integrated communications that directly support business growth, reputation, and key MedTech priorities. The Senior Manager partners closely with the Neurovascular business unit (BU) and broader MedTech CPA team to align communications to enterprise and BU strategy, drive must-win priorities and strengthen stakeholder engagement across internal and external audiences.

Reporting to the VP, Cardiovascular Communications & Public Affairs, you will operate as a trusted business partner to the Neurovascular leadership team, ensuring communications are focused, aligned, and delivering measurable impact in a complex, global environment.

This role will sit in our Irvine, CA office on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Strategic Alignment

  • Serve as the lead communications partner to the Neurovascular business, aligning strategies to BU priorities and enterprise narratives.

  • Provide proactive counsel to business leaders, crafting messaging, positioning, and customer engagement strategies that advance growth and reputation.

  • Translate business strategy into clear, integrated communications plans across internal, external, and executive channels.

Integrated Communications & Reputation

  • Lead the development and execution of end-to-end, integrated communications strategies that advance product innovation, pipeline landmarks, and disease awareness.

  • Drive global narrative and storytelling, ensuring alignment with Neurovascular priorities and consistency across regions and channels.

  • Anticipate and manage reputational risks and issues, partnering with enterprise and regional teams to protect and strengthen trust.

External Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Develop and implement earned media, digital, and thought leadership strategies that elevate Neurovascular leadership in key markets and categories.

  • Partner with medical, commercial, and KOL stakeholders to amplify data landmarks, product launches, and innovation storylines.

  • Ensure effective integration across global, regional, and market activation efforts.

Employee & Change Communications

  • Support organizational transformation, change, and engagement efforts, ensuring employees understand strategy, priorities, and their role in execution.

  • Lead development of high-impact internal communications, including leadership messaging, town halls, and employee engagement moments that reinforce culture and performance.

Cross-Functional & Global Partnership

  • Operate as part of the global MT CPA network, connecting Neurovascular priorities into broader sector storytelling and campaigns.

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Professional Education, HR, and regional CPA teams to ensure coordinated execution.

  • Bring forward best practices, insights, and measurement to continuously improve impact and efficiency.

Execution Excellence

  • Deliver high-quality communications at pace, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across all outputs.

  • Measure success through business impact, engagement, and reputation metrics, adjusting strategies based on insights.

  • Support major industry moments (e.g., congresses, data releases, launches) with integrated, high-impact communications plans.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or related field.

  • Proven experience delivering integrated communications strategies tied to business outcomes in a complex environment.

  • Strong background in media relations, issues management, and executive communications.

  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sectors preferred.

  • Proven ability to influence senior partners and navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems (web, social platforms, search) and measurement approaches (AI-optimization, analytics, listening, dashboards, performance reporting).

  • Ability to operate globally and cross-functionally, with up to 10% travel.

What Success Looks Like

  • Communications strategies are clearly aligned to Neurovascular and MedTech priorities, driving measurable business and reputation impact.

  • Leaders view CPA as a strategic partner, not a support function.

  • Teams operate with clarity, focus, and strong cross-functional alignment.

  • Neurovascular is consistently well-positioned with key partners—employees, HCPs, media, and industry.
