Software Engineer - 1 (Go/Python)

Overview

• We are seeking a passionate and motivated Software Engineer - Python Backend Developer with 1-2 years of experience to join our growing Product Engineering team. This role is ideal for developers who enjoy building scalable backend applications, developing robust APIs, and working on modern cloud-native solutions.
• As a member of our engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of innovative product capabilities while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, work with modern technologies, and play a meaningful role in delivering high-quality software solutions.

Our Current Technical Environment

• Technologies: Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, JSON, SQL Alchemy, Pydantic, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Git/GitHub
• Cloud & DevOps: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions/Jenkins,  Azure (good to have)
• Architecture: Microservices architecture, Scalable and secure backend services

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
• Develop new product features and enhance existing platform capabilities.
• Integrate with databases, external services, and third-party APIs.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications on Kubernetes to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of backend services.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to optimize Kubernetes deployments, resource utilization, monitoring, and production operations.
• Participate in code reviews and implement engineering best practices.
• Write unit tests and support quality assurance initiatives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
• Support product releases and deployment activities.
• Monitor and maintain services running in Kubernetes environments, proactively identifying and resolving performance, scalability, and operational issues.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
• Strong understanding of Python programming fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks such as Flask or Django.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with SQLAlchemy ORM is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to MongoDB, Redis, or other modern data stores is a plus.
• Strong understanding of version control systems, preferably Git/GitHub.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is required.
• Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and cloud platforms such as Azure is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced product engineering environment.
