Req ID:
JR106710 AI Engineer
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
We're hiring a versatile AI Engineer to join our Business Function team — a hybrid builder-strategist who can define, design, and deliver AI-enabled solutions that move the needle on business outcomes.
This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of business strategy, AI capability, and engineering execution. You'll own the what and the why of AI products in the business function, while being deeply fluent in the how — prototyping, scaling, and operationalizing innovative AI solutions.
You will be the connective tissue between collaborators, data, and AI — translating ambiguous business problems into shipped, adopted, and measurable AI products!
Education:
Masters or equivalent experience in Engineering, Data Science, Business Management, Information Systems or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI solutions in the business function — from vision, roadmap, and backlog to adoption and measurable outcomes.
- Lead discovery — user research, persona development, and requirements gathering — and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog.
- Serve as the single voice of the customer for the agile delivery team; translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria and facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and release planning.
- Prototype GenAI and Agentic AI solutions, including prompt/context engineering and evaluation.
- Integrate LLMs via APIs, function/tool calling, and structured outputs; test and validate AI agents that automate or augment business workflows.
- Partner with data engineering to identify data sources, design pipelines/ETL, and ensure data quality, security, governance, and observability at scale.
- Direct UX/UI design in partnership with developers; lead training, change management, and adoption strategy; build feedback loops for continuous iteration.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience across product management/ownership, business process analysis, data science, software development, and/or data engineering in semiconductor industry or related field
- Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM/GenAI applications, with strong Python, SQL, and data manipulation skills.
- Experience deploying applications and applying software engineering fundamentals — testing, version control, and API design.
- Strong customer and collaborator communication, backlog management, and systems-thinking skills to translate ambiguous business problems into shipped AI products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Product Owner, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer.
- Proven experience partnering with business function stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, or Business Unit teams).
- MLOps/LLMOps tooling and production AI experience.
- Experience with Snowflake/Cortex and vector databases.
- Experience building multi-agent systems.
