Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Job Description

Micron is seeking a Staff Planning Analyst to help build the future of our global operations and product portfolio. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with leaders across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technology Development, Finance, Corporate Strategy, Business Units, and Operations to convert detailed data into actionable business insights.

You will play a key role in enabling strategic decisions through advanced analytics, scenario modeling, AI-enabled solutions, and long-range operational planning. If you enjoy solving complex business challenges, influencing executive decisions, and driving significant impact across a global organization, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Align cross-functional teams — spanning Business Units, Sales, Corporate Strategy, Manufacturing, R&D, Product Engineering, and Operations — to build and publish multi-year manufacturing plans that advance long-term business and technology goals.
  • Collaborate with Front-End and Back-End manufacturing organizations to define node capacity plans, site strategies, factory loading scenarios, and network optimization plans — thoughtfully balancing growth targets, technology transitions, and operational realities.
  • Develop and publish enterprise manufacturing plans and consensus forecasts, building alignment across collaborators and solving sophisticated challenges across supply-demand, capacity, and roadmap planning.
  • Build and continuously improve planning models that guide important business decisions — including node subscriptions, technology transitions, product end-of-life planning, capacity investments, site strategy, and long-range supply chain scenarios.
  • Support executive decision-making through scenario modeling and what-if analyses — assessing the impact of capacity, technology, product mix, and roadmap changes to help leadership expertly navigate risks, opportunities, and trade-offs.
  • Advance digital transformation by applying sophisticated analytics, AI-powered decision support, AI agents, and workflow automation — strengthening planning effectiveness, accelerating decision-making, reducing manual work, and building greater organizational agility.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in long-term business planning, supply chain planning, operations planning, manufacturing planning and/or business analytics.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships, influence partners, and line up across complementary teams.

Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and planning tools such as Excel, Tableau, SAP, Rapid Response, APO-DP, HANA, or similar enterprise systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience, in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in semiconductor manufacturing, technology planning, product portfolio management, or global operations.
  • Knowledge of supply chain optimization, demand planning, capacity planning, and scenario modeling methodologies.
  • Experience using AI, sophisticated analytics, automation technologies, and digital transformation solutions to improve business processes.
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills with talent for converting detailed analysis into strategic business recommendations.
