# Sr Risk Analyst I
## Role Overview
Micron Technology is seeking a Risk Analyst to support the company’s global Risk Management function. This role contributes to the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of corporate insurance programs and enterprise risk management activities. The Risk Analyst works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify, analyze, and monitor risks while supporting cost-effective risk transfer and mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Program Operations
- Support corporate insurance programs through underwriting data compilation, insurer applications, and policy renewals
- Assist with insurance coverage placement activities and respond to insurer inquiries
- Maintain accurate insurance records, policy registers, and program documentation
- Provide technical consultation to internal stakeholders and external partners
Claims & Loss Management
- Support workers’ compensation and casualty insurance claims administration
- Gather and manage loss documentation to evaluate potential financial recovery
- Liaise with insurance adjusters and coordinate with third-party consultants
- Track claims activity and identify loss trends
Risk Identification & Analysis
- Identify property and casualty risks through insurer questionnaires and applications
- Analyze risk information and support development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management practices
- Gather, analyze, and report risk-related data from internal and external sources
- Identify and track key and emerging risks
Financial & Budget Support
- Maintain risk management information systems including claims databases, policy registers, and compliance matrices
- Support quarterly insurance budgeting, cost allocation, and reconciliation activities
- Coordinate with Finance on insurance allocation methodologies and reporting
- Process insurance-related invoices using established business processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with internal departments to establish, implement, and monitor risk mitigation programs
- Communicate insurance budget changes and cost impacts to Finance and site stakeholders
- Participate in Risk Management and cross-functional meetings
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across risk programs
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience supporting risk management, insurance, or related analytical functions
- Ability to analyze risk-related data and support decision-making
- Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or equivalent
