Quality Assurance Reviewer (Film Review)

Location: Remote - Philippines or LATAM

Engagement: Hourly contract through Rad Hires, paid on timesheets 

Schedule: Full-time equivalent (about 8h/day, 5 days a week). Part-time is possible, because the role may be split across 2–3 people.

About the company

Our client is a New York–based sports technology startup. It builds computer vision technology that identifies basketball actions from game footage, then delivers processed film and stats to coaches. Computer vision alone wasn't accurate enough, so the team added a human verification step. Film processing is now live for coaches, who get results within 8–10 hours. The client is hiring reviewers to take over this verification work from its internal team.

About the role

The client's computer vision model detects each made basket. For each one, it records the player who scored, their team, whether the shot was worth 2 or 3 points, and when it happened. You'll watch short, preselected video clips and confirm that the model got everything right. You won't watch full games, only 3–5 second clips. Your work is what lets coaches get accurate film overnight.

What you'll do

• Review short (3–5 second) preselected video clips in the client's online review platform.

• Approve events the model identified correctly. Correct or flag anything that's wrong.

• Focus on the events selected for review through confidence and exception checks.

• Follow reference examples and training videos, and complete your assigned reviews consistently and accurately.

• Share feedback on the review tool. It's still evolving, and reviewer input is used to improve it.

What we look for

• Excellent attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.

• Comfort with computers, web applications, and video playback.

• Your own computer and a reliable internet connection.

• Basic written English.

• Familiarity with or interest in basketball.  

What we're looking for (behaviorally)

• You value accuracy over speed. Quality comes first, and productivity targets are set only after training.

• You're consistent and reliable across a large number of repetitive reviews.

• You adapt easily. This is a startup that's "learning as we go," and the tool will keep changing.

• You speak up when something in the tool or the process doesn't work.

This role is not for you if

• You need a fixed, predictable schedule. Hours vary with incoming footage, and volume peaks on specific nights.

• You'd rather move fast than get every detail right.

• You're not comfortable working with tools and processes that are still changing.
